In Schenna, customs are not part of a dutiful scheme, but they are a popular and out-lived tradition in which the young and old take part.  The Schenna inhabitants not only wear their traditional costumes during a festive occasion.  Even on a normal Sunday, the locals enjoy wearing traditional clothes from times gone by. 
   
For the locals, it is an honour to be tied to their roots and creates a type of unity.  For holidaymakers, it is a picture of harmony and originality.  In some people, it triggers the desire to see an ideal world.  Others simply enjoy the picture of being rooted.

Throughout the entire year, the region celebrates beautiful processions and parish church festivities.
