The suburb St. Georgen

Just above Schenna, you will find the hamlet of St. Georgen, demonstrating sacred architecture in the midst of vineyards and orchards.  From a little square beside the Uhlen tower, which is part of the ruins of the Alte-Schenna fortress from the late 13th Century, you can enjoy some wonderful panoramic views over Meran and its surrounding area. 
The guest bus offers a regular connection between Schenna and St. Georgen.
