Please follow the regulations given below, which will help to maintain and protect the forest, as well as the general nature in South Tyrol (LG v. 19.6.1991).

Please do not step on any type of mushroom.  They are most important for the forest flora.  When you collect mushrooms, please do not use rakes or sticks.

When can you collect mushrooms?
  • Foreigners or non-residents, who would like to collect mushrooms, must contact the town hall and pay a fixed fee of € 5 per day, per person prior to collection. (Of course, you can pay for several days at once.)
  • On even days of the month, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Not more than 1 kg per person (if over 14 years of age) per day.
  • Mushrooms must be cleaned roughly at the place where they are cut.  They must only be carried in strong and open containers.  Please note: the ’paid fee notice’ must be visible at all times.
